PARIS PARALYPICS 2024; INDIAN ATHLETES ARE SOARING HIGH WITH BRONZE

On Saturday, 31st August, 2024, Indian shooting wizard Rubina Francis wins her first Paralympic medal which appears to be a dazzling BRONZE. Remarkably, she is found to be the first Indian woman to bag a medal in pistol shooting at the P2 10 m air pistol SH1 event at the 2024 Paralympics Games. The 25 years old, from MP, was supported to stand comfortably by putting on special shoes which provides the balance required while shooting. It is because , she was born with talipes or clubfoot.

“Hard work pays off”, say it or not but one must have to acknowledge, if one really works hard with true determination and efforts, it is rewarded with great results. Rubina Francis is synonymous with that. All her achievements are truly impressive and praiseworthy.

INDIAN BADMINTON AT ITS PEAK-MANISHA RAMDASS DEFEATS CATHRINE ROSENGREN: Manisha Ramdass, the 19-year-old teenager, writes history for eternity at Paris Paralympics 2024 by including her name in the Women’s singles SU5 Bronze medal list. She is first Indian woman badminton player to do so. The record says, she has become invincible since 2022. The Tamilnadu star athlete has risen to success gradually exhibiting outstanding performances at World Championships and at Asian Para Games.It was never a surprise but a glory to every Indian when she had clinched 11 gold and five bronze medals in 2022.

 

ANOTHER INDIAN BADMINTON PLAYER, NITHYA SRE SIVAN has bagged a Bronze Medal in the Women’s Singles SH6. It was perhaps Nithya’s mother who feeded her with the motivation, inspiration for life and sports. Her mother was a sportsperson, though Nithya had lost her mother when she was only two. Defying all odds of life , she established her own identity whether it is in becoming world no.1 Para badminton player or clinching medals in the events.

“WHEN ACHIEVEMENTS SPEAK, EVERYONE CHEERS” PREETI PAL, a Para woman sprinter from India seals the deal quite exquisitely both in the  Women’s 100m T35, and in Women’s 200m T35, with double bronze medal. She is also now the first Indian woman track and field athlete to do so. From a condition when she could have less chances of walking on her feet to becoming a speed-star is absolutely a miracle.Yes, the 23-year-old has done it for India.

Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar from Jammu and Kashmir have brought India another bronze medal in the mixed compound archery event at the Paris Paralympics 2024 in a spectacular run where they equalled the Paralympic record in the bronze medal match. The victorious duo have shown Paris and the whole world what Indians can do at their best.

The 17-year-old Sheetal  Devi , from Loidhar village in Kishtwar , an armless young girl has been sensational in archery like the goddess Diana. The nation stands with her as she leads the nation from the front. India is unconditionally proud of her. Sheetal Devi is a gem who soars high with monstrous 703 point in the individual compound rankings rounds, and also bags a new mixed compound world record of 1399 with the 39-year-old partner Rakesh Kumar.
