CHAMPIONS ARE BORN IN INDIA & ARE MADE IN INDIA; A LIST OF SILVER MEDAL WINNER ATHLETES OF INDIA AT PARIS PARALYMPICS 2024:

Yogesh Kathuniya  has earned double silver medal in men’s discus throw F-56 event; first at Tokyo Paralympics 2020 and now he has flourished with another silver medal at Paris Paralympics 2024. The dexterous athlete, son of an army father, outshines every other guy in respect of clinching silver in this event.

Over the years ,Mr. Dependable, Yogesh Kathuniya has become a true figure of consistency as he never disappoints in any event of discus throw since his debut appearance in 2018, setting a world record in F36 category by throwing the disc to 45.18m at the 2018 World Para Athletics European Championships in Berlin.

Earlier in his life he was diagnosed with Guillain–Barré syndrome and undergone various medical treatments. However, later in life the defiant decided to be an athlete over simply being a commerce student. The champion Indian athlete expresses his future goal that he has already numerous silver winnings, currently determines to put more effort to win a gold for India.

 

Nishad delights India with his second Silver: The 24-year-old Indian para-athlete from Himachal pradesh clinches the silver medal in men’s high jump T47 final at Stade de France with a best jump of 2.04m. He believed in him that he can do it. And he has done his job quite satisfactorily. He had a high dream of joining the Indian Army but then a misfortune snatched his hand. He did not stop there sooner he channeled his potent in sport resulting in high flying high jumps. Winning a back to back silver is not a piece of cake. Today, India is proud of Nishad Kumar.

Badminton has regenerated Thulasimathi Murugesa, a passionate sports enthusiast bags a silver medal in the Women’s singles SU5, defying the odds of her physical challenges. The veteran began shining with a gold medal when she participated in the women’s doubles partnering Manasi Joshi at the 5th Fazza Dubai Para Badminton International 2023. After that she never looked back. Now she is applauded with ample felicitation because her robust passion for sports.

 

An IAS, living a life in sports, seals a Silver Medal this time ! Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj wins consecutively silver in 2020 and in 2024 Paralympics. Besides being an IAS officer of 2007 batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre, and having served as District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar & Prayagraj, the India star athlete has found his life in badminton. His inborn congenital deformity in his left ankle could not limit his life in sports. The champion has achieved success both in education and in sports.

 

True champion lives like Sharad kumar: Sharad Kumar, the world no.1 para  high jumper of India, leaps to win the silver in the Men’s high jump T63. The India great participated the Paris Paralympics 2024 only to win it for sure. Despite a paralysis of his left leg, he shows what a human can do. It will not be enough to say that he has been also brilliant in study as he has a post graduation degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University.

A real life hero, Ajeet Singh Yadav wins a silver in javelin throw: In 2017, Ajeet lost his left hand due to a tragic train accident while trying to save the life of his friend. The star Indian Paralympic athlete made his debut in sports in 2019 participating and clinching a gold and bronze in javelin throw representing India in the World Para Athletics Grand Prix held in Beijing and in the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai. At Paris Paralympics 2024, he currently seals his first silver medal in the Men’s javelin throw F46.
