The Penguin Season 2 And Dr. Julian Rush
The Penguin Season 2 is currently dazzling the screens outstandingly and remarkably. The surprise for today is that we have come to behold the very second episode of this series after a long long wait. The Penguin episode 2 begins with a creepy, eerie sequence where our character Sofia hallucinates about her brother’s demise. Sofia finds herself back in Arkham Asylum which at first, the audience considers to be a flashback but later it is apparently unveiled to be a dream or a hallucination when her brother appears. However, Sofia went through a serious therapy with the help of a doctor named Julian Rush. The role of this interesting character is played none other than Theo Rossi. Actually Julian Rush is the Batman villain being potentially set up in The Penguin Episode 2.
Is He really A Batman Villain?
This peculiarly spectacular character Julian Rush happens to be a new, unique and original fictional character limned for The Penguin Episode 2. It is a huge blunder to say that he was there in the DC comic books and therefore, Julian Rush is not a batman villain. Julian Rush is as new to us as the the idea of its character. For the first time, he has appeared on screen. So far the official announcement states that he is going to be Sofia Falcone’s lover. Moreover, some fans are not ready to acknowledge him as he is rather they relate the character with various other identities.
Now if we closely look at the villains in DC, we can find a strong connection to Penguin Episode’s Julian Rush happens to be the Jonathan Crane aka The Scarecrow. This Jonathan Crane is a complicated psychologist who is known for experimenting on the inmates of Arkham Asylum and subsequently turning the inmates go crazy with the use of his fear gas.
At first meeting with the audiences, Dr. Julian Rush is found to be putting Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti) through a unique form of ‘treatment’. He uses three bars of oscillating red light to put Sofia in a trance. As a result, Sofia imagines herself back in Arkham, with Dr. Julian Rush there guiding her to “Go inside” her imaginary cell.
Sofia gets seriously affected and left in a hysterical state by such eccentric practices and experiments. There is seen a a level of intimacy that Rush performs as he grabs and holds Sofia, using a series of verbal cues to bring her back to reality, and calm her. The scene ends with Dr. Rush offering his assistance to help Sofia – which she seems nonchalant about. The batman fans seem to be crazy when talking about Dr. rush as they they are of the opinion that “Dr. Julian Rush” will be revealed to be some kind of alias – or outright renaming – of Batman villain Hugo Strange. Although there’s this kind similarity presented by lots of fans , We’re presented with a strange psychiatrist who is the man , at times working at Arkham,. That is it.
